PIXELISMUS Interactive CD-ROM: David Apikian, Nil Yalter and Nicole Croiset.
This works takes its inspiration in the composition of mosaïcs in a
byzantine church which shows many correspondances (interesting correspondance)
to the esthetic notion of "pixel". Then it (accompagnies you)
takes you in a journey through the works of Malevitch as well as his theories
about artistic creation.

David APIKIAN
Born in Erevan (Armenia). Master of Architecture Degree at the Art Institute
of Tallinn (Estonia) in 1982. He studied architecture after having studied
painting and graphic design in Erevan and having worked as a traditional
cartoon animator in Moscow and Erevan. Living in Paris, he teaches 3D computer
graphics and animation at the International Institute of Multimedia and
at the Institut National de l'Audiovisuel in Paris and also as an invited
teacher at the Danish School of Design in Copenhagen. Since 1985, he participates
in many Digital Art Exhibitions in Europe, Japan, and United States. Mainly:
Arts Electronica in Linz (Austria), Viscom in New York, San Francisco and
London, Couleurs de la vie in Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris, Prague,
Andorra and madrid, Nicograph in Tokyo, Imagina (Digital Art Gallery) in
Monte-Carlo, Espaces Interactifs-Europe in Paris...
