MARGARET WATSON: LIQUID MEDITATION

LIQUID MEDITATION is a narrative virtual environment based on nature, philosophy
and architecture. Within the world, an interactant can explore meditative
abstractions of natural water reflections. Exploration occurs within an
upward winding architecture that structures the narrative philosophy, as
well as the images of reflection. As a participant journeys through the
structure, meditative experiences within the environment foretell the upcoming
revelation. Capacity to achieve awareness of the philosophy is solely based
on the skills and patience of the interactant.
Within the environment, philosophy is structured as a visual experience.
As in life, interactants within the virtual world explore and navigate
of their own accord. The world exists in the form of both logical and chaotic
experiences. These experiences exist within the world despite the path
of the individual. Encounters with the unexpected may trigger decision-making
responses. Persistence and dedication to exploration allow an interactant
to reach higher levels of aspiration.
In reality, virtual reality is a medium that allows visualization of abstract
concepts, as well as commentary on our existence. Within Liquid Meditation,
the focus tangibly is on nature and abstractly on philosophy. By exploring
these elements of reality in an abstract manner, perhaps new awakenings
can occur in regard to their presence in the world.
